Olym Data was founded by Charles DeVries, a Carnegie Mellon University graduate with four years of experience as a data engineer and startup founder in financial services.
Most of that work involved the less glamorous side of data: pulling structured information out of unstructured documents, building connections between systems that weren't designed to share data, and automating workflows that had been handled manually for years. Along the way, he picked up hands-on experience with insurance platforms like SureLC and Hexure's Firelight, and worked with Python, SQL, NoSQL, AWS, Azure, and Snowflake.
The goal at Olym is straightforward: bring that hands-on background to companies that need real technical help, without the overhead of a larger firm.
